Laura and Nathan married each other a couple of weeks ago in the stunning, recently renovated Old Marylebone Town Hall. I’m going to be there a few times this year for weddings and I’m already looking forward to going back.

I met Nathan and his mates in a nearby pub shortly before the ceremony for a quick drink before heading over to the town hall. A moment or two later, Laura arrived, looking amazing, in one of the most stylish wedding cars I’ve seen in my time. Driven by a family friend who collects classic cars, Laura pulled up in a vintage Ferrari Juillet. Needless to say, it’s a cool looking car that attracted a fair bit of attention when it pulled up outside the town hall.

Laura entered the room and Nathan’s face lit up, it was lovely to see and one of the moments I love capturing as a wedding photographer. Following a short civil ceremony, the wedding guests were given a glass of champagne and a seat on a classic Routemaster bus which drove us all down to Battersea. The reception took place at a gorgeous new restaurant called Fiume in the new Circus West Village development next door to Battersea Power Station. The food there is delicious, I thoroughly recommend it. The pasta, in particular, is some of the best I’ve ever tasted.

The evening soon arrived and with it came some beautiful summer light, so I borrowed Laura and Nathan for a short portrait session to take advantage. The party soon followed after some hilarious and heartfelt speeches. Colin Roy and his band rocked the dance floor and ensured everyone had a fantastic time. The party continued into the early morning, at which time, just before leaving, I asked Laura and Nathan if they would stand on one of the restaurant tables for a portrait. They looked at me quizzically but then agreed and I hope they’re pleased with the result (you can see it at the end of the photos below).
