A Parsons Green Wedding

A Parsons Green Wedding

Zinnia & Braden were married the weekend before last in Parsons Green, London. Zinnia grew up on Parsons Green, whereas Braden grew up down under. They met in a bar in France during a surfing event near Biarritz. But they now live together so a London wedding was planned.

The whole wedding took place in Parsons Green, which was brilliant. A truly local wedding in every sense. I was able to quickly walk from Zinnia’s family home, where she was getting ready, to the pub where Braden was having lunch with his ushers.¬†From there it was across the road to the church where they were wed and from there a stone’s throw to the reception venue, the Worx Studio.

Zinnia has experience in organising events so had taken the blank white space of a photography studio and given it a rustic chic feel. With vibrant spring colours teamed with lovely vintage wooden furniture, the space was made fit for a wonderful evening of celebration, dinner and dancing.

Where possible Zinnia had called upon friends and family to help pull off what was a fantastic day. With her mother and aunts arranging the flowers, her friends Bella & Hugh doing the catering and Sally-Ann and Eddie entertaining the guests with live music throughout the evening. And not forgetting all the family members from both sides who were called upon to help set up the church and The Worx. It was all hands on deck but the hard work paid off!!

Zinnia’s family dog wasn’t to miss out on the wedding so came along to the church ceremony (and behaved very well I must say – well done Misty!). Braden’s family travelled over from Australia for the event in force – they even came a week early so his brothers could join him on his stag do.

The happy couple also requested a photo booth so I set one up in an alcove in the studio which ended up working pretty well – some results in the photos below! As is the case with many venues, the live band at the party had to stop before midnight, but the music kept going until 2am, and the guests really went for it on the dance floor – limbo, dancing on the ceiling, air guitar – all the moves came out in force.

Zinnia and Braden, it was a pleasure being your London wedding photographer. Wishing you a long, happy life together – congratulations again! Hope you had an awesome time on your honeymoon! X
