Ben and Kate tied the knot last week at Islington Town Hall in London.

I didn’t know about it until the night before, when Ben’s sister got in touch to see if I was available and if I could capture the wedding as a gift from her and Ben’s other sister.

I was free that afternoon so popped down to Islington Town Hall, where I’ve had the pleasure of photographing a number of civil weddings now. Ben and Kate arrived half an hour before they needed to, so we had time to take a few photos of the two of them together. It was a miserable, rainy August day so we couldn’t go outside. So I got my creative hat on and went about making a few original portraits inside.

Their close friends and family arrived soon after and they had a lovely little ceremony before having a few group photos on the staircase and then a confetti exit. A confetti exit where 99% of the confetti throwers remained inside!
