Epic Wedding Party

Claire and Mick’s wedding was one to remember.

I loved meeting Claire and Mick earlier this year on their pre-wedding shoot. We had a blast rocking around the streets of Kentish Town, their little pocket of London.

Such a fun couple, I instantly knew their wedding was going to be good. And it didn’t fail to deliver.

The Brewery in London City provided the stunning backdrop for a day that had it all. Laughter, tears, dancing, food, more dancing, some more food, and topped off with some more dancing.

The ceremony took place in the King George III room with its beautiful vaulted ceilings. Claire and Mick’s friends and family watched on as they had a traditional Jewish ceremony under a beautiful chuppah decorated with flowers by Amie Bone flowers. Following the ceremony, their guests were treated to lots of lovely canapes and drinks by the team from Celia Clyne Banqueting, whilst I nipped outside with Claire, Mick, and Louise who was second shooting for me on the day.

Once we came back, the guests made their way into the Porter Tun, the beautiful large space in the venue, where they were greeted by a stunning floral centrepiece, again crafted by the team at Amie Bone Flowers along with the folks from Rendezvous Events. Beneath the flowers were the incredibly talented musicians from Totem, who were on point all evening. If you don’t know Totem, you should, some of their lead singers have been on The Voice and have gone far. I may be biased though, my wife and I had them at our wedding!

Anyway, the party got going with some very energetic Israeli dancing which left Mick, in particular, feeling the effects! He got some good air time, flying through the air above his best mates.

Following some lovely speeches from the best men and maid of honour, Mick took to the microphone for his speech. And having made his new wife laugh and cry in short succession, he pulled out a guitar and invited his band onto the stage. Along with some guest performances from Claire and Mick’s family and friends, Claire was left chanting, “One more song! One more song!”. But Mick knew to leave his audience wanting more, so he got down from the stage and took Claire’s hand for their first dance as husband and wife.

The dance floor remained jammed full until the end of the night, with the newlyweds, surrounded by their best friends and closest family, belting out a classic Oasis track at the top of their voices.

What a night. Mazal tov to Claire and Mick.

If you or anyone you know is getting married in the next year or two and is on the hunt for a wedding photographer, please do put them in touch with me, I’d be very grateful.
