Nicki and Mark’s winter wedding at the Crazy Bear in Beaconsfield was such a fun day.
If you’ve never encountered one of the Crazy Bear hotels, you’ll be amazed. They’re unique places with decor that most people would consider pretty ‘out there’. The Crazy Bear in Beaconsfield is no different, and the bridal suite is something to behold. The walls and ceiling are covered in fur!
I met Nicki and Mark in the bridal suite, where they were both getting ready. I love it when couples get ready together like that, it’s so nice and relaxed.
With Nicki in her beautiful dress and Mark looking sharp in his wedding suit, they took a very short drive over to the local registry office, where they had a lovely intimate civil ceremony, joined by just their mums.
Following the ceremony, we spent a little time together around the bridal suite where I took some portraits of the newlyweds. Soon after that their guests arrived into a private dining room where the wedding breakfast took place. There were some hilarious speeches, including some great interactivity and props from the mums, and even a video call with the grandparents!
After dinner, the guests moved into the crystal room for the party, which is a room covered in mirrors. Very cool and a good challenge from a lighting point of view.
Nicki and Mark shared their first dance and the party carried on late into the evening. At the end of the night, we headed outside to get some air and take a few more night time portraits.
It was such a pleasure to capture their wedding day. If you know of anyone on the lookout for a Crazy Bear wedding photographer, please do send them my way!
