The first thing that most professional photographers will tell you is that the camera is the least important thing when taking great photos. Having the best camera in the world will not, I guarantee, make you a good photographer. The way you become a better photographer is through practice and training. But as you get better and better at taking photographs with the kit you have, it’s only natural to want to upgrade it if it will help make your life easier. When a piece of gear can make your life easier, or help you take photos that you genuinely couldn’t take without that piece of gear, that is when it’s a worthwhile purchase, in my opinion.
